TSTN PD: The Kindness Advantage

Save the Date!

What if you could:

  • Measurably boost employee morale by 20% or more?

  • Increase productivity so things get done, faster and better?

  • Lead teams effectively with less conflict and more happy faces?

  • Skyrocket customer/student satisfaction?

These may seem like lofty goals. But they’re achievable for leaders and organizations that embrace the Kindness Advantage. Today, in a world of unprecedented change – COVID, busyness, and stress, we can become impatient, unhappy, and in some cases, burn out. Successful organizations that actively and intentionally practice kindness: retain their top talent, engage and motivate employees, and continue to obtain new, loyal partnerships.

Laurie Flasko

With 25 years experience in customer service training, leadership development, and team building, Laurie Flasko is a certified trainer, speaker and executive coach. She works with organizations who want to “WOW” their customers, build high performing teams and leaders and create kind cultures where people love to work.

Her customer experience programs have been recognized by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. She co-authored Bullying is not a game. A Parents’ Survival Guide. AND she has just completed the Applied Compassion Training at Stanford University

Laurie lives in Niagara with her husband Les and LOVES to spend time with her family. She can’t wait to travel the world and to see you all in person one day soon.

Wellness Workout Mornings

The current COVID-19 situation has presented many new challenges that we have not, previous to this past year, encountered before in our personal or professional lives.  Education in a remote and virtual world, has had an impact on us all – physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.   Maintaining good mental and physical health will help ensure that we all get through this together.  We all need to start with “self-care”, in order to effectively assist and support others, including our students.

On January 5th, a physical fitness initiative, Wellness Workout Mornings was introduced to all staff twice a week.  These workouts do not require any equipment, and the goal is to improve our mental health by reducing anxiety, depression, and negative mood by improving self-esteem and cognitive function. Exercise has also been found to alleviate symptoms such as low self-esteem and social withdrawal.

Due to the popularity of our Wellness Workout Mornings, beginning Monday, January 18, 2021, there will be a staff wellness workout every morning, each with a different focus:  Fitness; Dance; Yoga; and Meditation.  All sessions will be conducted via Zoom and run from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Please see attached flyer (or below) for all the information you need to keep healthy between now and March Break.
